    My boss is a bit stingy when it come to marketing budget (yet he want the best result  ::)) So far I've tried free advertising, forum post (not spam, real post), free search engine submission and link exchange.  Any more tips will be helpful.

    Though I dont have much of a experience in this but while searching I found article writing is an interesting option.  But dont know much about it.

    You can try some social site and forum signiture. Thats a good one for traffic.

    tell your boss that you get what you pay for, so if he doesn't pay, he can't have the result, his competitors might have with paid advertisments

    Ya going for social networking sites like orkut, facebox, etc is a good idea of promoting without having investments.
